Nobel Oil Downstream opens the new petrol station in Romania

Nobel Oil Downstream, a retail arm of the British-registered Nobel Oil Services Ltd, is pleased to announce the opening of its second petrol station in Romania. The new unit, constructed in 3 months, is located on 154, Mangaliei blvd., Constanta.  

The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Paul Brummel, the British Ambassador to Romania, representatives of the local business community and Mr. Gustaf Nobel, member of the Board of Directors of Nobel Oil Services Ltd and the descendant of Ludvig Nobel, one of the founders of the legendary BraNobel Oil company.  

“The opening of this petrol station is yet another sign of a continued British investment into Romania. I am happy to inagurate such a modern station that will benefit people in Constanta and Dobrogea. I wish Nobel Oil all success in their further business development in Constanta and Romania,” said H.E. Mr. Paul Brummel.  

Mr. Gustaf  Nobel commented: “The launch of the second petrol station reflects the successful development of Nobel Oil in the downstream segment of the energy industry. We are looking forward to further growth in the Romanian market by setting up three more units this year. Demand in the market is high and we anticipate positive results.”  

The Nobel Oil petrol station is located on the way to the largest Romanian port, as well as major seaside tourist destinations, both in Romania and Bulgaria. The innovative station has three dispensing units capable of servicing six vehicles at a time.  

“The station in Constanta represents our second investment in Romania and we wish to adapt to suit the local community’s needs and desires accordingly. The station is designed to be compact but functional, it is equipped by OPT which facilitates faster transactions and helps avoid queuing,” said John Long, the Nobel Oil Downstream General Manager.  

Nobel Oil petrol stations are the first ones in Romania that allow customers to make both card and cash payments by using Outside Payment Terminals (OPTs). Maintaining unique features, Nobel Oil petrol stations are designed to bring more comfort to its customers and respect for the environment. The photovoltaic panels installed on the rooftop allow the station to cover its energy needs and operate independently from local power distribution networks.  

To corporate customers, Nobel Oil offers a competitive fleet card. Nobel Oil fleet card users can buy fuel at special prices, enjoy preferential payment terms and efficient fleet management.   Nobel Oil aims to become a community hub and strives to bring together many services that improve the lives of people. Nobel Oil has partnered with DHL, a global market leader in the logistics industry, to provide express deliveries and courier services at its stations. Customers will also be able to purchase essential goods at competitive prices in the Nobel Shop, pay their utility bills and buy vignettes from the ZebraPay machine.
